Dating Safety
Your Safety
Your safety in meeting anyone off the internet should always be top of your priority list. This is why we have included a few pointers to help you along the way. A lot of it is common sense, but none the less please read it and stay safe
* For the first date, always arrange to meet in a public place so you are not alone with your date, and try and arrange it during the day.
* Just in case the place where you have agreed to meet has to close for any reason, or the weather has turned bad, have a back up plan in place.
* Make your own way there, do not accept a lift if they offer to pick you up from your home or your place of work.
* Make sure what you wear is not too revealing, this could send off the wrong signals
* Always tell someone where you are going and what time you expect to be back, you could always arrange to have a friend to call you at some point just to make sure everything is ok.
* Call a couple of days before your date to confirm the time and place that you are meeting them.
* If you drink, don’t drink too much, keep a clear mind, and if your driving, don’t drink at all.
* Have a sense of humour. Everyone is nervous on meeting for the first time, so talk about something you might have in common, eg football etc.
* At the end of the date be honest on if you want to see them again.
With all this in mind, have a wonderful date with your chosen person and we hope it all goes well for you
